ABOUT THE BOOK

The highly anticipated novel that delivers what romantic suspense fans have long awaited—the return to Rock Harbor.

Bree Nichols gets the shock of her life when her husband—presumed dead—reappears.

Bree Nichols and her search and rescue dog Samson discover a crying infant in the densely forested woods outside of Rock Harbor, Michigan. Against objections from her husband, Kade, who knows she'll become attached, Bree takes the baby in. Quickly she begins a search for the mother—presumably the woman reported missing just days earlier.
While teams scour the forests, Bree ferrets out clues about the missing woman. But she soon discovers something more shocking: Bree's former husband—long presumed dead in a plane crash—resurfaces. Is he really who he says he is? And should she trust him again after all these years?

An engaging, romantic suspense novel from critically-acclaimed author Colleen Coble.

Margie's comments: Colleen Coble has delivered yet another excellent book in the Rock Harbor series. When I got the galley pages to proofread, I was excited to learn that Colleen wrote another chapter in Bree Nichol's life. It felt like old-home week. I love Bree, Samson (her search-and-rescue dog), son Davey, and husband Kade. What a fun—and surprising—read. It was great to reconnect with all the characters who make up this series, as well as enjoy another great mystery. Even if you haven't read the other books in this series, if you're a mystery lover, you won't be disappointed with Cry in the Night.

Up Pops the Devil by Angela Benson

This is a little late today. But I have a really good excuse! My daughter, Kathy, surprised me this morning with a weekend visit from London. Evidently her former coworkers helped her pull off the surprise . . . and believe me, I had no clue!! She's here as a surprise for her best friend, as well, who is getting married tomorrow. So of course my work plans for the weekend have flown out the window! It's sooooo good to see her. First time since January.

Okay, now the CFBA book tour for today:

ABOUT THE BOOK

This is the story of Wilford "Preacher" Winters and the four women—his fiancée Tanya, his sister Loretta, his old girlfriend Serena, and his new friend Natalie—who complicate his re-entry into society as a law-abiding Christian man after being incarcerated for two years for drug trafficking. Two hard years in prison have changed Wilford "Preacher" Winters for the better. He did his time, now he's going to "do the right thing." But the women in his life have other ideas.

Tanya, the sleek and sexy mother of his two kids, is much too comfortable with her pearls-and-Porsche lifestyle, and she'll do whatever it takes to maintain it. His sister, Loretta, kept "the business" running smoothly while Preacher was inside, and she can't believe he'd trade Easy Street bling for a nickel-and-dime dead-end job. His one-time girlfriend Serena, now married to his main man Barnard, is hiding a secret—and if past sins come to light, they'll ruin several lives and a very new, very precious friendship between Preacher and Barnard's beautiful-inside-and-out sister, Natalie.

With his world about to explode all around him, Preacher's going to need every ounce of his new-found faith to remain strong. Because it takes a lot to become a new man, sometimes even a miracle.

Kristy Dykes—With the Lord

I'm grieving today for the Dykes family who has lost a wife, mother, and grandmother, and for the Christian writing community, at the passing of a wonderful romance writer, Kristy Dykes.

I "met" Kristy several years ago when I was privileged to proofread or copy edit her books. The last one I copy edited was a part of Barbour's Kiss the Bride novella collection. I met her in person very briefly at one of the ACFW conferences. Eight months ago Kristy was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given six months to live. I've followed her story the last few months on her blog, Christian Love Stories. Lately, Milton, her husband, has been posting for her, and we've been able to follow this journey in detail. Kristy loved the Lord passionately and that love spilled over to Milton, their two daughters, Julie and Jennifer, and their grandchildren. Her passion for life and love for people fueled her ministries. We will miss Kristy, but she is now rejoicing with her Savior and other loved ones in heaven today.

If you haven't been following Kristy's story, do check out her blog. And if you haven't read her books, check out her page on Barbour's Web site. You can also find her books on sale here. You will be blessed by her testimony that always pointed others to Christ.
