Challenging words from Jesus Christ. "Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern." (Matthew 6:32–33 NLT)
These verses made me pause and think . . . am I truly seeking God's best pathway for me, or am I following my own plan hoping God will bless it? My heart's desire is for the former, but too often I find myself doing the latter.
