In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:6 ESV

Verse of the Day

Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. (Psalm 26:1–3 ESV)

Verse of the Day

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of [deep darkness], I fear no [harm], for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You [anoint] my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and [mercy] shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23 nasb

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God. Philippians 4:6

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV

Verse of the Day

In You our fathers trusted; they trusted and You delivered them. To You they cried out and were delivered; in You they trusted and were not disappointed. . . . I will tell of Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise You. You who fear the Lord, praise Him, . . . glorify Him, and stand in awe of Him. Psalm 22:4–5, 22–23

Verse of the Day

So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. (Galatians 6:9 NLT)

Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don't become weary and give up. (Hebrews 12:3 NLT)

Verse of the Day

I was reminded of this again this afternoon through two different conversations: No matter how deep, dark, and dry the valley the Lord has allowed us to walk through, He will always use it for our good and His glory. Always. And in the midst of those times, He refreshes His children through blessing and fellowship with other believers. As I was singing this morning to Peyton (our beautiful 3 1/2-week-old granddaughter), "God is so good! God is so good! God is so good, He's so good to me." Always.

"And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the age-old foundations; and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell."  (Isaiah 58:12)

Verse of the Day

The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. (Psalm 145:9 ESV)

Blessed be the Lord! for he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Psalm 28:6–7 ESV)

Verse of the Day

Even in the midst of trials, troubles, and difficult situations we can praise the Lord:

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. (Psalm 103:1–5)

Verse of the Day

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. (Matthew 11:28–30 AMP)
