watch the LORD rescue you. . . . The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm!" (Exodus 14:13–14 NLT)

Verse/Devotion of the Day
When I think about the past year, it tops the list of the most difficult years I've ever had. But even through the incredibly difficult times, many more blessings abounded.
Thanksgiving is only a week away, and I have SO much to be thankful for. These verses come from today's Daily Light morning reading (ESV) and express the greatest blessing of this past year: learning on an even deeper level that the Lord is always, always with me. His love, grace, mercy, and faithfulness never ceases to amaze me.

When I sit in darkness, the Lord
will be a light to me. Micah 7:8
“When you pass through the
waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm
you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall
not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your
Savior.” Isaiah 43:2–3
I will lead the blind in a way
that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I
will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level
ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16
Even though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your
rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm
23:4
When I am afraid, I put my trust
in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56:3–4
The Lord is my light and my
salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Verse of the Day
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally,
brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if
there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these
things. The
things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice
these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:4–9)

Verse of the Day
The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it! (1 Thessalonians 5:24 MSG)
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. (Galatians 6:9 AMP)
With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort. (1 Corinthians 15:58 MSG)

Verse of the Day
"So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
But
now, O Israel, the LORD who created you says: "Do not be afraid, for I
have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When
you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When
you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk
through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames
will not consume you. For
I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave
. . . a ransom for your freedom."(Isaiah 43:1–3 NLT)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a
huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every
weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us
up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. (Hebrews 12:1–2 NLT)

Verse of the Day
"O LORD, you are my lamp. The LORD lights up my darkness. In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall. God's ways are perfect. All the LORD's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory; your help has made me great." (2 Samuel 22:29–36 NLT)

God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all
sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NASB

"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)
A Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies: "Do the

Verse for the Day
Your laws are perfect and completely trustworthy. I am overwhelmed with indignation, for my enemies have disregarded your words. Your promises have been thoroughly tested; that is why I love them so much. Psalm 119:138–140 NLT

Verse of the Day
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT
If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. James 1:5 AMP
