“Be strong and very
courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions [I, God] gave you. Do not
deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be
successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually.
Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in
it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be
strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you
go.” Joshua 1:7–9 nlt

Verse of the Day
However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine
Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and
exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from
ourselves. We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in
every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and
are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; we
are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we
are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:7–9 amp
