Verse of the Day

We moved to another rental in the same town where we've been the last two years. Less than a month ago our landlord texted us saying he was "thinking" of selling the house. Within 36 hours of that text, a realtor's sign went up in the yard. Two weeks later he had a good offer, and the house and acreage are now under contract. I'm so thankful this didn't catch God by surprise. He had a place ready and waiting for us, though it meant a step of faith to take it as it is $300 more a month for rent. He also had our son and daughter-in-love already scheduled for a visit last week. And He provided lots of help from our church family to make the final portion of the move. It took all day Saturday to accomplish it, but it is done, and we are now busily settling into the new house. Just this afternoon we got connected into our Internet/TV/phone provider. God is very good, all the time. And He has proved His faithfulness once again.

These verses were in my devotional time this morning, and I am reminded once again of God's perfect provision: "And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever. My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places."  (Isaiah 32:17–18 AMP)
