"For
as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there
without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and
furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so
will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to
Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in
the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10–11)
Such a wonderful promise! God's Word will never go out without accomplishing the purpose for which He sends it. Since these verses keep popping up in my reading, at church, and in special music at church when we were on vacation, I know the Lord is reminding me that He is still at work, even if I've waited a long time to see this promise completely fulfilled in certain areas. God is always at work; He is always good. And He is in complete control.
