Verse of the Day

Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you. Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright. (Proverbs 4:25–26 AMP)

Let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. (Hebrews 12:1–2 AMP)

My word for 2012 is "focus." More specifically keeping my gaze on Jesus, the one who has mapped out the path before me. Lots of unknowns in the new year for us—new job, new state, new people to meet—but if I keep my eyes on Him, my way will "be established and ordered aright."
