Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. Instead
He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the
likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death—even to death on a cross. (Philippians 2:5–8 HCSB)

Verse of the Day
Giving thanks to the Father, who
has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has
delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of
his beloved Son. Colossians 1:12–13

Verse of the Day
Let the favor of the
Lord our God be upon us; and confirm for us the work of our hands; yes, confirm
the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17

Verse of the Day
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When
you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the
rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you
will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For
I am the LORD your God, . . . your Savior." (Isaiah 43:1–3 NASB)

Verse of the Day
I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He
drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction],
out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock,
steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And
He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many
shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and
confident reliance in the Lord. (Psalm 40:1–3 AMP)

Verse of the Day
As
we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for
living a godly life. He has called us to receive his own glory and
goodness! And
by that same mighty power, he has given us all of his rich and
wonderful promises. . . . So
make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life.
Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of
moral excellence leads to knowing God better. Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness. Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more you will become productive and useful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:3–8 NLT)

Verse of the Day
"As for God, his way is perfect. All the LORD's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock?" (2 Samuel 22:31–32 NLT)

Verse of the Day
"My thoughts are completely different from yours," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For
just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. The
rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to
water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the
farmer and bread for the hungry. It
is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I
send it." (Isaiah 55:8–11 NLT)

Verse of the Day
But let [your beauty] be the inward adorning and beauty of the
hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of
a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but]
is very precious in the sight of God. (1 Peter 3:4 AMP)
Therefore, . . . be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]. (1 Corinthians 15:58 AMP)

Verse of the Day
We moved to another rental in the same town where we've been the last two years. Less than a month ago our landlord texted us saying he was "thinking" of selling the house. Within 36 hours of that text, a realtor's sign went up in the yard. Two weeks later he had a good offer, and the house and acreage are now under contract. I'm so thankful this didn't catch God by surprise. He had a place ready and waiting for us, though it meant a step of faith to take it as it is $300 more a month for rent. He also had our son and daughter-in-love already scheduled for a visit last week. And He provided lots of help from our church family to make the final portion of the move. It took all day Saturday to accomplish it, but it is done, and we are now busily settling into the new house. Just this afternoon we got connected into our Internet/TV/phone provider. God is very good, all the time. And He has proved His faithfulness once again.
These verses were in my devotional time this morning, and I am reminded once again of God's perfect provision: "And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever. My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places." (Isaiah 32:17–18 AMP)
